Neil Patrick Harris appears in first 2015 Oscars promo

A new TV and online commercial shows Neil Patrick Harris is already getting ready for his gig as host of the Oscars ceremony in February.
The Emmy and Tony award-winner is seen in the promo dressed in a black tuxedo accented by a red scarf, while standing in front of a large Oscar statuette surrounded by elegantly wrapped packages.
"This holiday season, give your family a gift they will never forget. Instead of traditional presents, give them the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars," Harris said in the video clip, which was posted on YouTube Dec. 25, Christmas Day.
The Oscars for excellence in film in 2014 will be handed out in Los Angeles Feb. 22. The ceremony will air on ABC.
