Sarah Paulson has opened up about the forthcoming season of American Horror Story.
The 40-year-old actress discussed the FX series in an interview with Deadline published Thursday. Paulson has starred on all four previous seasons, and told the website American Horror Story: Hotel will keep fans guessing.
"It's very different than previous seasons," she shared. "To me it sort of shares some similarities with Asylum in the sense that it's in a hotel, it's in one place. Not to say that things don't happen outside of it, but to have one location everything revolves around reminds me a little bit of season 2."
Paulson will play a drug addict named Hypodermic Sally who lives in the hotel and "happens to be quite sexy." The actress said the origin of her character's name is "probably what you imagine," and confirmed rumors she may be killed off for the first time.
"I sort of feel like some of the characters who have died on the show have died in these fantastic ways that are incredibly memorable, and sometimes audiences get very attached to those stories and how it all went down," she acknowledged. "So I wouldn't mind being involved in that kind of thing at all."
American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere Oct. 7, and released two new teasers via Entertainment Weekly on Friday. The season will feature Lady Gaga as the hotel's owner, and Paulson said the singer is "an incredible addition" and "perfect fit" for the show.
