Leading sports channel Eurosport is launching an on-air QR code campaign across Europe to encourage fans to access online and mobile content. A first for the Eurosport Group, the QR code campaign has gone live during the channel’s live coverage of the Australian Open in tennis and will run until 29 January on its flagship channel Eurosport, where it is designed to send fans to Eurosport.com's Livescore app. Available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, the Livescore app will provide score alerts, results and match schedules to complement and enrich Eurosport viewers' TV experience during the Australian grand slam. By pointing their smartphones at the onscreen QR graphic using a recognised QR code app, fans can link directly to the Livescore app. Livescore, which is also available online, covers a range of sports from tennis and basketball to football, and includes alerts enabling fans to track their favourite teams and players in football, rugby and tennis.
