On the sidelines of his visit to Riyadh to attend the 20th meeting of the GCC information ministers, Information Affairs Authority President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa today met Rotana Holding Group and Al-Arab News Channel chairman His Royal Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and discussed media cooperation. Shaikh Fawaz affirmed Bahrain’s stance welcoming Al-Arab News Channel and Rotana senior executive management in conformity with the two agreements signed in Manama on May 8, as part of the Kingdom’s drive to establish the media city and invest in the vital media sector. Shaikh Fawaz then toured the offices of Rotana Group, which comprises 12 varied satellite channels, and was updated on work procedures, administrative and technical equipment and services. He reiterated the commitment of the IAA to provide all media services and technical equipment to ensure the success of the satellite news channel and the pioneering media group in Bahrain.
