U.S. cable network TCM says it plans to air interviews from Johnny Carson's three decades as host of "The Tonight Show," starting next summer. Many of the classic chats, which will be broadcast as "Carson on TCM," have not been seen on television since they premiered, the network noted. "Johnny Carson set the gold standard for generations of talk-show hosts with his candid, funny and often very revealing interviews with everyone from legendary screen icons to young newcomers," Tom Brown, TCM's vice president of original production, said in a statement. "'Carson on TCM' offers classic movie fans the perfect chance to see their favorite stars chatting with one of the most beloved figures in television history." Carson served as "Tonight Show" host from 1962 to 1992. He died in 2005 at the age of 79.
