Over 1,200 Emirati students from grades nine to 11 are to benefit from "Skills for Life", a summer programme to be launched in July by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET). Disciplines will include English language, engineering design, microcontrollers (computer chips), computer technology, aviation, health sciences, physical education and cultural activities. The programme is organised by the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT), Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) and Emirates Skills, according to Mubarak Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of ACTVET. It will be delivered in 15 educational institutions from July 3 to July 26. Each institute will offer a number of disciplines.
