His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, gifted Dh100,000 each to 53 students across the country who scored high marks in the grade 12 public school exams. Certificates as well as gifts including the cash incentive and laptops were presented to the high achievers by Minister of Education Humaid Al Qutami on behalf of Shaikh Mohammad, during a glittering ceremony at the Grand Hyatt hotel on Wednesday evening. The results of the grade 12 public school exams were announced on June 26. Those who were felicitated include toppers across the country in both Science and Art streams, those who excelled in the ten educational zones in the country, toppers among Emirati pupils and from amongst pupils with special needs and amongst those who studied at the adult learning centres. Students of the Institutes of applied Technology were also honoured. Article continues below The top scorers belong to both public schools as well as private institutions following the Ministry of Education curriculum. Following the results, Shaikh Mohammad had ordered scholarships to be granted to the 20 top students at universities and colleges. Al Qutami expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to the leadership of the country for the priority given to education and to nurturing the abilities of the youth. He also thanked Shaikh Mohammad for motivating the students by honouring the high achievers and the most hard-working students.
