Presentations of 207 research projects by more than 600 students and 400 teachers from 105 Independent Schools were made at the third National Student Research Fair here at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre. The Police Training Institute (PTI) which represented the Ministry of Interior (MoI) displayed its research work and accomplishments in association with Qatar's schools at the fair inaugurated by HE Minister of Education Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud. The PTI pavilion also displayed photo exhibits of visits to the institute by various schools and visits of the delegations from the institute to the schools to open channels of communication between both entities, the MoI said in a media statement. The PTI pavilion also exhibited researches done by students who were honored by the MoI in a research competition held by Supreme Education Council (SEC) on subjects related to the ministry. The pavilion also exhibited security related researches released by the Research and Studies Section of the institute such as "Role of the Institute in enrooting concepts on anti-human trafficking"; "The frame work for elements of security culture in school curriculum", "International security co-operation in combating transnational crimes" and "Community Policing". The institute urged all researchers to use its library which includes several legal and researches on policing. The pavilion also distributed several magazines and printed materials and also invited all concerned to attend Annual Research Competition Discussion Forum scheduled June 6, 2011 at Al Wajba auditorium of the Institute on ''Economic Crimes and Means of its Prevention''.
