Algeria has strongly condemned the attack perpetrated Monday on a high school in northeast Nigeria, and which killed at least 45 students and injured 78 others.
"We strongly condemn the attack that targeted Monday a high school at the town of Potiskum in the state of Yobe, in northeast Nigeria, and which left many victims among innocent students," the Foreign Ministry's spokesperson, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif told APS.
"We offer condolences to the families of the victims and to the Nigerian government, and we assure them of our solidarity face to the hideous acts of terrorism, which are continuously claiming the lives of many, particularly innocent children," he added.
"Algeria, which has constantly called for active international cooperation against this scourge, is more committed than ever, with all its African and international partners, to pursuing its efforts and action to counter it," he said.
