Minister of Education Mahmoud Abul Nasr asserted that the ministry adopts transparency in handling all education files, noting that he is keen on briefing the public on all details that take into consideration the students' interests.
In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Abul Nasr called for placing high the interests of the country, pointing out that transparency embraced by the ministry was the main reason behind coming under attack in the recent period.
The ministry was first to report cases of deaths among students and strict measures have been taken in this regard.
The minister asserted that he is keen on the interests of the students as they are Egypt's present and future.
He also noted that the competition of appointing 30,000 teachers was handled with transparency as the names have been picked out electronically with the applicants' identification numbers.
The minister said tangible steps have been taken to upgrade the education process, with more initiatives planned to develop pre-university education.
