Minister of Education Moheb el Rafie met on Monday with Director of the British Cultural Council in Cairo Mark Stevens and Head of education program in the council Sahar Khamis.
They discussed cooperation between the ministry and the council in the field of training teachers in basic education and school managers.
The minister stressed the importance of raising education quality and welcomed the council's support for technical education in Egypt.
For his part, Stevens praised cooperation with the ministry, pointing out that a meeting will be held between the minister and the British ambassador on cooperation between the two sides.
He said the council's plan for this year targets training of 1000 teachers in primary and prep schools in Cairo and Alexandria in addition to 300 supervisors.
