The International Students Network (ISN) will return to Kuwait on Thursday (March 12) to organize an educational fair, the US embassy in Kuwait said in a press release on Tuesday.
US ambassador Douglas Silliman will provide opening remarks, it said.
The fair will include representatives of 11 US colleges and universities, which will provide information about their schools and answer questions from students and parents about educational opportunities in the US, the release added.
The three-hour fair is organized by the ISN in cooperation with the US embassy.
According to the release, Mrs Margo McCoy Howe, an American expert in college counseling will present a session open to the public on the US university application process.
The following universities will attend the event: California State University-Easy Bay, Drexel University, Drury University, Northampton Community College (Bethlehem Campus), Northwestern University, Oklahoma University, Pennsylvania State University-Harrisburg, Stephen S. Austin State University, University of Central Florida, University of Clear Lake and University of Michigan-Dearborn.
EduactionUSA advisers will be present at the fair to answer students' questions about higher education in the US, including the admission process, the release said.
The US Embassy Consular Officer will also be present to answer questions about the student visa application process.
The International Student Network (ISN), operating since 2000, has helped U.S. based universities and colleges connect with qualified International students from around the world for the past 15 years. It holds student recruiting events in locations in Asia, Latin America, India and Gulf countries.
