Kuwait and Bahrain signed here on Wednesday three memos of understanding for bilateral cooperation in the fields of youth, sports, social security and higher education.
The signing took place at the wrapping-up of the Kuwaiti-Bahraini joint committee meeting.
The MoUs were signed by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah AL-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Bahraini Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad bin Mohammad Al Khalifa.
The two sides also inked an educational executive program for 2015-2017 and the minute of the meeting which tackled cooperation in political, economic, trade, social and judicial fields.
Kuwait and Bahrain are tied with 36 deals and memos of understanding pertinent to bilateral cooperation in various domains, with two-way trade exchange having edged up to USD 260 million over the last 10 years. Kuwaiti investments in Bahrain are estimated at KD 665 million (USD 2.2 billion).
