Under auspices of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the National Union of Kuwait Students (NUKS) marked on Wednesday the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
In an address to the celebration at Jumeirah hotel Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Issa expressed joy for attending the event on behalf of His Highness the Crown Prince.
He saluted NUKS members who rose to eminence after studying in friendly countries such as Egypt, Lebanon, the United Kingdom and the United States since 1964.
The minister recalled the achievements made the NUKS and its preparatory committee and Executive Board since the founding conference of the Union.
On his part, Chairman of NUKS Executive Board Mohammad Al-Otaibi extolled His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince for their constant support to the Union.
The Executive Board has dubbed this year's celebrations as "50 years of giving and renewed allegiance," Al-Otaibi added.
Also attending the celebration was Undersecretary of the His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who commended the progress of the Kuwaiti student movement.
