The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Higher Education - may Allah protect him – approved a number of decisions taken by the Council for Higher Education at its sixty-eighth meeting. The Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari, explained that the Council agreed on a number of decisions including the decision to create a Center of Excellence in Labor Market Studies at KFUPM. Also among the decisions that were approved memorandums of understanding between KFUPM and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), and between some universities in the Far East and Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). He also added that the Higher Education Council discussed a number of annual reports for some universities and agreed to submit them to the Prime Minister, including the annual report of the higher education fund for the fiscal year 1430/1431 AH (2010 AD) for KFUPM. And on this occasion the Minister of Higher Education raised his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may Allah protect him – for his unlimited kind support to institutions of higher education. His Excellency said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques agreeing to these decisions comes from his deep interest and the interest of His Highness the Crown Prince, in the march of education in this glorious country and its prosperity, and to harness all the possibilities for development, so as to optimize the setup for generations to build and service the homeland and the citizens and move to the prospects for progress and development.
