His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had directed the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) to provide humanitarian relief assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan.
In compliance with the directives of His Majesty and under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO); the Organisation's Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed has signed with the Jordanian Charity Organisation's Secretary-General Ayman Riyadh Al-Mofleh an agreement to build the Kingdom of Bahrain's School in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for our Syrian brethren.
This agreement was part of the RCO's contributions to Syrian refugees and in cooperation with the Hashemite Charity Organisation under the supervision of the Jordanian Ministry of Education.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Ambassador to Jordan Nasser bin Rashid Al-Kaabi; UNRWA's General Commissioner in the Near East, Peter Ford; Foreign Relations and Projects' Official Moneer Elyas; UNRWA's Jordan-based Deputy Commissioner Paul Stromberg and RCO's director for planning and projects Ibrahim Al-Dossary .
On this occasion, RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed submitted utmost gratitude and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, hailing His Majesty's generous directives in supporting and assisting our Syrian brethren, lauding the support and assistance to Syrian refugees from HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the RCO's Board of Trustees Chairman in alleviating the suffering of Syrian brethren resultant from the painful events in their country and also praising the excellent cooperation of the Hashemite Charity Organization .
Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said this project comes as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's BD 20 million contribution in assistance to the Syrian brethren announced by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister during the International Donors' Conference for Humanitarian Assistance to Syrian Refugees. The conference which was held in the State of Kuwait under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jabir Al Sabah the Emir of the State of Kuwait.
Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said the Kingdom of Bahrain's School project came after the great success accomplished in the Kingdom of Bahrain's Academic Complex in al-Zaatari Camp for Syrian Refugees in Jordan and building on the needs of Syrian brethren living outside the camps to contribute in alleviating the pressure on Jordan's resources and helping in providing service to our brethren Syrian refugees in Jordan so that they can continue their education despite their painful conditions .
The Bahrain School for Syrian Refugees comprises 19 classrooms, academic laboratories, sports playgrounds, administrative and educational offices as well as other facilities. Work in the Bahrain School for Syrian Refugees adopts the two shifts system: in the mornings and evenings. Morning classes for Syrian refugees and evening classes allocated for Jordanian citizens.
The Hashemite Charity Organization's Secretary-General Ayman Riyadh Al-Mofleh expressed utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain's leadership and people for their contribution in supporting and assisting Syrian brethren which reflects the fraternal bonds between the two brotherly countries, lauding the Kingdom of Bahrain's amicable brotherly ties with all brotherly and friendly peoples all over the world and also praising the Kingdom of Bahrain's prompt effective response in implementing sustainable development projects for the Syrian brethren, citing the excellent practical strategy of the RCO in provision of relief aid to disaster-stricken countries which focuses on development and humanitarian relief assistance. The Kingdom of Bahrain has been one of the first countries that established such developmental projects in various disaster-worn countries which contribute effectively and to a great extent in consolidating psychological security and stability of these peoples. This is the norm from the Kingdom of Bahrain which took the initiative of supporting and assisting disaster-affected peoples around the world.
Al-Mofleh expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards HM the King's humanitarian initiatives in implementing developmental projects for the Syrian brethren which contributed a lot in alleviating their suffering. He also praised the historic, solid bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He also praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in managing the RCO's philanthropic and humanitarian works presented by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the accomplishments of the RCO which attest to the good management and tidy organisation of the RCO led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan said that HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has always been at the forefront of philanthropic deeds and supportive of our Syrian brethren in Jordan, supplicating to Almighty Allah to preserve and nurture His Majesty the King and to make all of His Majesty's humanitarian philanthropic deeds in His Majesty's balance.
Al-Mofelh submitted utmost gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for their supportive humanitarian stances and their assistance to all brethren and friends under various conditions.
