The admissions office at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has announced the admissions decisions for its master’s programs for the 2015-2016 Academic Year.
The DI received 903 applications from across the Arab world before the March 31 admissions deadline; 148 applicants were extended offers of admissions, 53 to the School of Public Administration and Development Economics and 95 to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Admissions decisions were based on a rigorous and competitive selection process that assessed the abilities of each student and included interviews between DI faculty and shortlisted candidates.
Selections were made according to an applicant’s exceptional undergraduate record, mastery of both the Arabic and English languages and expected contributions to society upon graduation.
Classes will commence on October 4, 2015. Admissions for the 2016-2017 Academic Year will open for prospective students in fall 2015.
The DI is an independent institute for learning and research in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration and Development Economics in Doha.
The DI realizes its academic purpose by integrating teaching and learning with scientific research and aims to support the formation of a new generation of capable academics and researchers in its fields of study.
