Ain Shams University Middle East Research Centre organizes on Tuesay a symposium to discuss the massacres of the Armenians at the hands of the Turks in 1915.
The event will be attended by International Law Professor Ayman Salama and History Professor at Alexandria University Mohamed Refaat al-Imam and Chairman of the Egyptian National Library and Archives Helmi el Namnam.
Military expert Mahmoud Khalaf of Nasser Academy and Armen Mazloumian, member of a committee on the Armenian Massacres will also take part.
The total number of people killed as a result has been estimated at between 1 and 1.5 million.
