H. H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has approved 80 scholarships for outstanding students and top position holders of grade 12th. These outstanding students will be enrolled in the local universities in the emirate of Ajman including Ajman University of Science and Technology, Gulf Medical University and City University College of Ajman (CUCA). It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Humaid has ordered the Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi Foundation for Human Development and Department of Ajman Municipality and Planning to study the eligible cases of these outstanding students. The Ajman ruler said that the emirate has a number of prestigious universities which match other local and international universities in terms of the programmes, curricula and advanced studies. “We give extra care to Human resource development in particular the outstanding students who wish to pursue their higher studies in scientific areas including medicine, dental, pharmacy, engineering, health sciences by providing them with free scholarships especially those who could not afford college expenses, “ he said. He added since these students have proved their abilities to excel so this is our right to give them the opportunity to complete their studies. He also hailed the great care provided by the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and their Highnesses Rulers of the emirates for higher education and human resources and this is reflected in the infrastructure development in all fields, especially the government universities with the participation from the private sector, which is contributing positively in the promotion of higher education.
