General Secretariat of Bahrain's Higher Education Council has started necessary procedures to ratify some 550 certificates of students of Delmon University, Ministry of Education said Sunday. Once students receive their certificates from Delmon University after Eid Al-Adha holiday, the ministry said, they should head directly to the general secretariat to get their certificates ratified. It urged all students registered at Delmon University to go to the secretariat building to finalize their free-of-charge transfer to other universities after the Delmon University's license was revoked. The ministry added the general secretariat would not recognize anything from Delmon University following withdrawal of its license, however it was keen on helping students at this exceptional situation. The higher education council decided recently to strip Delmon University of its license because of what it considered as the university's failure to guarantee legitimacy of its graduate certificates.
