Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Xi Jinping of the Republic of China, today in Beijing, a cooperation agreement between University of Bahrain (UoB) The agreement was signed by President of the University of Bahrain and Secretary-General of the Confucius Institute. UoB's President stressed, after signing the agreement, the importance of this agreement in developing of cooperation with friendly countries in the field of higher education and the dissemination of knowledge, and asserted China has one of the world's oldest civilizations and it has the second largest economy in the world, adding this cooperation agreement reflects the depth of relations established between the two countries. The Confucius Institute, which will be established in the UoB, is a non-profit organization aims to develop the friendship relations between the peoples of China and Bahrain, in the field of language and culture, and according to the agreement, it will teach Chinese language and hold cultural activities as well as organizing visits for students and academics to China.
