Egypt's Minister of Scientific Research Sherif Hamad
Cairo - MENA

Egypt's Minister of Scientific Research Sherif Hamad asserted on Thursday that the Egyptian Youth Academy of Sciences (EYAS) aims to empower young and prominent scientists to set their research plans and policies.
This came during a celebration held to announce the inauguration of EYAS.
The inauguration was attended by heads of research centers, institutes and Egyptian universities and heads of the youth academies in Germany, Scotland, South Africa, Sudan, Denmark and Malaysia.
Hamad pointed out that "Egypt is considered one of the first countries in the world to establish a youth academy."
During the ceremony, Mahmoud Sakr, head of the academy, affirmed that "the aim of this edifice is to help young researchers in the advancement of scientific research in Egypt."
In the meantime, Minister of Higher Education Al-Sayed Abdul Khaleq pointed out that Egypt's universities will include modern central laboratories that will be available to young researchers.
