Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of U.A.E. University, on Thursday received two ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) certificates recognising the national university's achievement of two high international standards of information technology.
The two certificates recognise U.A.E. University's achievement of ITSM 20000 (information technology service management) and ISMS 27001 ( information security management systems).
In his remarks as he received the two certificates at his office from Mr. Ayman Ktaily, Marketing and Sales Manager at Lloyds' Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak said the university's achievement of the important certifications was made possible by U.A.E. leaders' interest in, and support for the country's higher education institutions.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak emphasised that the university is committed to advancing its educational services to the highest levels, and that its fulfilment of ISO certification requirements is line with its strategic goals of quality, efficiency and transparency as well as capability enhancement.
