Khalifa University today held a meeting of its Board of Trustees at the University's Abu Dhabi campus chaired by H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Deputy Chairman of Khalifa University Board of Trustees. The meeting was attended by members of the board of trustees, including Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Eng. Hussain Al Hammadi, Walid Al Muhairi, Dr. Tod Laursen, President of Khalifa University, Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of Khalifa University, Dr. Mohammed Al Mualla, Khalifa University's Senior Vice President for Research and Development, Ebrahim Jafar Alahmed, Khalifa University's Vice President for Administration and Finance and Fahem Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer of the UAE's Advanced Network for Research and Education (Ankabut). During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed at length. These included talks on adding new degree options, undergraduate admissions criteria and placement and graduate student recruitment. In addition, the recent awards won by the university, and how they would best be spent, was a topic of discussion. There was also an update on the upcoming Mohamed bin Zayed Robotics Competition and a review of progress made on the development of the College of Medicine. The board was briefed on the ongoing audits and discussed governance, in addition to the strategic plans of Ankabut.
