Khalifa University announced today that it has been awarded the Ellucian Inspire Award for Operational Excellence at the recent Ellucian Live event in Philadelphia, USA. The University employed best practices from around the world, including some of Ellucians technology, to capture $10 million of goods and services expenses and apply them to the fiscal 2012 budget, freed an estimated 400 hours per year for IT and functional resources to devote to other value-added services and accessed detailed information on key performance indicators, student data, performance measures, and more that are required for the important processes of re-licensure and accreditation. "I am pleased to see our excellent staff, from several different areas of our administrative and academic units, recognised in this way," said Khalifa University Senior Vice President for Research and Development and chair of the ERP Steering Committee, Dr. Mohamed Al Mualla. "Our staff works hard to find new and innovative ways to make important improvements to our administrative, infrastructure, and business processes, which are vital for the successful management of the University. By streamlining these areas, we are better able to focus our time and effort on providing a high quality education to our students," he added.
