Board of Trustees of Oxford Center for Islamic Studies is due to open its regular meeting here later on Monday, an event to be hosted by Kuwait in response to an invitation from Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, member of the board. Eminent figures are taking part in the meeting, namely Prince Turki bin Faisal bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince of Perak (Malaysia) Raja Nazrin Shah, and Dr. Ferhan Nezami, the director of Oxford Center. The board, which enjoys sponsorship of Prince Charles and includes prominent Kuwaiti personalities namely Sheikh Dr. Mohammad, Dr. Ali Al-Shemlan and Ahmad Al-Mutawaa, would meet His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Tuesday. His Highness the Amir is renowned as a main supporter of the center. Kuwait has, substantially, contributed to establishment of new installations for the center, recently constructed in the British city of Oxford. The center is one of the prominent institutions that encourage academic studies on Islam and Muslims. Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammad is due to host a broad banquet in honor of the board members later today.
