Kuwait University inaugurated Sunday Crime Awareness Week to educate students about the dangers of crimes against the individuals and the whole society.
The event, organized by the KU's Law College and the Interior Ministry's Criminal Investigations Department, gives special attention to the drug addiction related crimes.
In the first day, a seminar on "the dangers of Methamphetamine addiction on youth" was held at Othman Abdulmalik Theater in Law College.
"The Law College organizes this even every year to acquaint students about the dangers of and the means to prevent the different kinds of crimes," Dean of Law College Jamal Al-Nakas told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony.
He urged students to participate in the week's activities to enrich their knowledge about the crimes.
