The Minister of Education and Higher Education Ahmad Al-Melaifi arrived in Jordan on Friday to attend a graduation ceremony for 600 Kuwaiti university students organised by the Kuwait Cultural Attache Bureau. Upon his arrival, the minister told KUNA that he applauds the contributions of Jordanian educators to Kuwait, adding that "the presence of some 5,000 Kuwaiti university students in Jordan is a testament to the warm relations" between the two.Welcoming the visiting minister at Queen Alia International Airport was Jordan's Minister of Higher Education Amin Mahmoud, Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Duaij, Head of the Kuwait Cultural Bureau in Jordan Atiyyah Al-Shemmeri and Cultural Attache Mohammad Al-Dhifeeri."Despite the large number of Kuwaitis studying in Jordan they have not had any problems," and the minister said that this was "the result of the efforts of Jordanian officials under the guidance and facilitations of King Abdullah II." He said he was delighted to be preparing to honour the graduates "who will carry fond memories of their years of residence in Jordan," expressing hope that security and stability would continue to flourish in the country.Meanwhile, the Jordanian minister said the visit was a chance to further extend bilateral relations in the educational and academic domains.
