HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of American University of Sharjah (AUS), stressed that the University has a pioneer role in the society. The statement was made when Sheikh Sultan attended today the graduation ceremony of 534 students of the American University of Sharjah, held at AUS City Hall. Present at the event were H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan reiterated that the pioneer role of the AUS was represented in the establishment of training courses and development of professional skills in cooperation with many of the country's government and local institutions, and coordination with a number of educational institutions in the state. He expressed his happiness to meet and congratulate the graduates on the occasion saying, "I am very happy to meet and congratulate you on the day of your graduation." Sheikh Sultan also extended his greetings to Dr. Peter Heath, Chancellor of AUS, who is currently in U. S. for medical treatment.
