A student at University of Bahrain has designed an engineering project to establish an academy for Bahrain Air Force. The project is considered a proposal for education and training on military aviation in the Kingdom, and mimics, with its interior design, the environment of the military life including equipment and machinery. The student, Nevin Qandeel, who studies Interior Design at College of Engineering, said "The idea is mainly based on constructing a full-service building for an academy, that is concerned with teaching its affiliates on military aviation in Bahrain, for there is no project of its kind so far." She also highlighted that the project is huge, and contains a department for primary education, another for actual flight, in addition to an accommodation for the students, a building for the administration and a gym. Nevin expressed her aspiration that any party in Bahrain adopts the project, for its importance in military education, and because it is a new project in Bahrain, pointing out that the idea was admired by the arbitration committee for the graduation projects of the students of College of Engineering for the year 2012 – 2013.
