Students of Public Relations major at the College of Applied Science — Nizwa are organising a campaign titled “Yes, We Care” on May 7 and 8, 2012. The campaign will demonstrate the interest of youth related to issues like traffic safety, tourism and identity. The activities of the campaign have been divided into three parts. The first part of the campaign will show the concerns of youth towards traffic and road safety. Done in collaboration with the Kfaa Association, Civil Defence and the Royal Oman Police, a walk will be organised besides workshops on rescuing the drivers stuck in accident damaged car. The second part of the campaign covers the tourism aspect of the Sultanate with special focus on the Governorate of 1335789045032240700 Al Dakhiliyah. A book highlighting the tourism potential of the governorate will be launched during the ceremony. There will also be a competition for the “Best picture of a tourist place in the Sultanate”. Under the first leg of the campaign, the volunteers already organised a cleaning campaign on Monday targeting Falaj Dares and Falaj Al Khatmin areas. An awareness campaign about tourism in the Sultanate targeting the students of the Jawaher Aladab School was also organised. The last part of the campaign is dedicated to highlighting and celebrating the famous Omani identity. Special attractions in this section would be a heritage tent and a traditional night where female students would model the dresses representing the different regions of Oman.
