Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and Qatar First Bank (QFB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin bilateral collaborations in a number of areas.
The MoU was signed by Ilker Baybars, Dean of Carnegie Mellon Qatar, and Ahmed Meshari, Acting Chief Executive Officer of QFB.
Carnegie Mellon Qatar students will benefit from hands-on training opportunities with QFB as part of its executive training program, while QFB employees will have the opportunity to participate in Carnegie Mellon Qatar's executive education courses in management, information technology and human resources.
The agreement falls within the objectives of the QFB 'Pioneers' initiative, launched earlier this year, which seeks to develop students' skills in the banking and finance sectors through the facilitation of internships and hands-on experience.
