The 2nd round of the Chinese-Arab women forum was inaugurated here on Tuesday within the framework of China-Arab Cooperation Forum.
The four-day event is held under the rubric of “rallying women powers, reviving Silk Road”.
The event started by a speech of the head of All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) who said that cooperation between Chinese and Arab women is an important part of the cultural exchange between both countries.
The ACWF’s head expressed hope that the forum would be a new pushing power for Chinese-Arab economic and social development along with women issues.
Meanwhile, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming said that women represent a great power in developing the Arab and Chinese cultures.
During the inaugural speech of the Arab side, Lebanese Minister of State for Women's Affairs Jean Ogasapian lauded the forum as it represents an example for international cooperation in the field of empowering women.
