A Jordanian woman, 74, was infected by the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), bringing the number of infected people to 18.
According to the Jordanian Health Ministry, the infected woman, also suffering from the normal diseases of aging, was now in a critical condition and getting medication at a private hospital.
The ministry said the case was under an epidemiological investigation to identify the persons who dealt with it.
An ad-hoc committee was formed on Saturday to make sure that all precautionary measures were taken for the hospitalized coronavirus-infected cases in order to seize the infection.
