Ambassador Mervat el Tellawi, the director general of the Arab Women Organization (AWO), Monday thanked Oman for hosting an intensive training program for trainers in political empowerment of women domain.
She hailed the reception and welcome given to the participants by Omani officials, organizers and authorities concerned, topped by Chairman of National Authority for Industrial Craftsmanship Sheikha Aisha bint Khalfan bin Jameel al Sayabiyah.
In the name of the AWO, Tellawi valued the quantum leap witnesses by Oman in the field of empowering women through adopting pro-women laws meant to uproot negative traditions.
