The Ministry of Awqaf will organize four-day training courses for imams on the dangers of overpopulation and its impacts on the family and society, a senior official at the ministry said on Thursday.
The training courses, to be held in light of the joint cooperation between the ministry and Al Azhar, will also entail an explanation of some women's issues, such as forced marriage, Islam's stance on violence against women in addition to women trafficking, general manager of the ministry's training centers Ahmed Turky said.
He further noted that the first course will start on Monday for Cairo imams, while the second one will target Giza imams and will begin on August 20.
