The 11th meeting of The Arab Women Organization (AWO) Executive Council has concluded today (Nov26) in Egypt. Supreme Council for Women (SCW) secretary-general Hala Al-Ansari attended the two-day session in Cairo, Egypt. The session discussed key issues, including the AWO administrative report (June2012-November2012). Preparations for the fourth (AWO) Conference also came under the spotlight. The AWO is scheduled to be held late February 2013 in Algiers under the slogan "Women Entrepreneurship in the Arab World: Leadership and Development". Established in 2002, the 16-member pan-Arab organisation includes Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen. AHN
