His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today journalist and media figure Sawsan Al-Shaer, who presented him with a copy of her book entitled: "The Last Word".
HRH Premier commended the efforts of the author in compiling her valuable book documenting a key phase of the kingdom's history, noting that the book will be a historical reference for the coming generations.
He underlined the crucial role played by intellectuals, writers and journalists in enlightening the public opinion towards all issues, and efforts to counter issues posing a threat to the nation's security and stability.
HRH Premier praised Sawsan Al-Shaer's patriotic stances aiming to protect the nation and mobilise all potentials towards national development and progress.
Sawsan Al-Shaer extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support to journalists and media personnel in order to be able to assume their national duties within an atmosphere of freedom and openness.
"This book would not have been published shouldn't HRH Premier's orders not to forget what had happened, and we will not forget," she said, emphasising that "coming generations will commemorate the stances of HRH the Prime Minister and the loyal Bahraini people."
He pointed out that the proceeds of her book will be allocated to the fund of the families of martyrs of duty, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation and its stability.
