Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received today Regional Director of the United Nations Commission for Women in the Arab countries Dr. Samira Al-Tuwaijri on the occasion of her visit to Bahrain.
HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded the role of the UN Women to empower Arab women through specialised programmes by boosting gender equality, fighting violence against women and empowering women economically.
On her part, Dr. Al-Tuwaijri praised the efforts of SCW in empowering Bahraini women which resulted in many achievements at all levels.
