Egypt and Palestine discussed Thursday women's empowerment and boosting their rights.
This came during the meeting that grouped Egypt's ambassador to Palestine Wael Attia and Minister of Women's Affairs in Palestine Haifa Al Agha in Ramallah.
The get together tackled issues pertaining to women, their rights and gender equality.
Attia praised the sacrifice and struggle of the Palestinian women movement, underscoring the importance of countering violence against women.
The Egyptian envoy reiterated the right of Palestinians in establishing an independent state, based upon the international accords and conventions.
Al Agha reviewed with Attia her ministry's effort in formulating anti-violence against women strategies, and empowering them.
She praised the historic bilateral ties, and Egypt's vital role in defending and supporting the Palestinian cause.
