A pair of Italian women in their 80s were sentenced to suspended prison terms for charges stemming from a public fight. Frida Kofler, 89, and Martha Kerschbaumer, 82, who are both from a town near Bolzano, were sentenced for public disorder and acts of violence, ANSA reported Thursday. The charges stemmed from a 2009 fight police said was the result of a longtime dispute. Police said Kofler attacked Kerschbaumer with a cane and the younger woman responded with punches to Kofler's torso.
