Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, said Emirati women are on course to achieve the future strategy of the federal government and UAE vision 2021, which aims to make the UAE among the top countries. She congratulated on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman for the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. She also extended her congratulations to all women employees across sectors, mothers — all women across the UAE. She noted that Emirati women have been enjoying the special attention since the inception of the UAE, adding that Article 14 of the constitution calls for equality, social justice, provision of security and equal opportunities for all citizens. Also, Article 16 calls for the community to care for childhood and motherhood. The UAE minister underlined that Emirati women had received special care from the founder of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan
