The First Arab Forum for Women Entrepreneurs kicked off in Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday to discuss various issues ranging from opportunities, marketing and training to support policies.
The three-day forum is organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Committee in Dhofar and Salalah chapter of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
The forum will cover all aspects of challenges and programmes that support women entrepreneurs. It will address the aspirations of the entrepreneurs in line with the best practices being followed in the Arab world, throw light on the status of Arab entrepreneurship programmes and business incubators, and develop entrepreneurial skills to raise the value of the business system and entrepreneurship.
About 140 delegates from the GCC and other Arab countries are taking part in the forum. The forum is aimed at adding value to technical and business systems by enhancing the role of women to participate in economic growth and sustainable development.
