Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, has today deputized SCW Deputy President Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al-Khalifa to open the 3rd edition of the of the GCC Women's Sport Tournament. The event which kicked off today will run until March 13 at the hall of the Bahrain Sport Association for the Disabled at Isa Sport City in Riffa. SCW Deputy President Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al-Khalifa stressed the landmark strides achieved by the GCC women's sports. She paid tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women for celebrating women's sports achievements as part of festivities marking the Bahrain's Woman Day. She also underlined the crucial role of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, chaired by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to host the tournament in Bahrain.
