The 7-year-old daughter of a police officer in Marysville, Wash., died a day after she was accidentally shot by a younger sibling, officials said. The girl was shot Saturday afternoon after the younger child found a loaded handgun inside the officers' van, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said. She died Sunday in a Seattle hospital, The Herald, Everett, Wash., reported. The children were alone inside the parked van but their parents were standing nearby, officials said. The girl, who attended Utsalady Elementary School at Camano Island, Wash., was the oldest of four children, the newspaper said.
