General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) President Hisham Mohammed Al-Jowder received a Sharjah delegation and updated them on Bahrain’s programmes to promote youngsters and foster the concepts of rights and duties among them.
The delegation included Youngsters Centres Board member Abdulaziz Al-Numan, Girls’ Centres director Shaikha Aisha Khalid Al-Qassimi and Children Centres director Reem Abdulrahim bin Karam.
Mr. Al-Jowder underscored the importance of the visit in bolstering joint cooperation regarding programmes, events and functions which enrich youth work in both countries and build their competences.
He outlined GOYS-led efforts to foster the positive spirit among youngsters, hone their skills, build their competences and prepare them to integrate in the labour market.
He cited particularly the Nasser bin Hamad International Award for Youth Creativity, Youth City 2030, Red Carpet for Films, in addition to another programme which aims at exploring budding sport talents.
