A Sydney, Australia, man said he found his wife tied up and dead when he returned from work just before midnight on Halloween, police said Tuesday. Investigators say Lynette Bradbury, a 56-year-old grandmother, had recently received a substantial sum of money from a relative who won a lottery, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. Brian Bradbury said he and his wife spent about 45 minutes together after she returned from her job as a ward clerk at Westmead Hospital. He works evenings as a janitor at the same hospital. When Bradbury returned, he found his wife's body next to her bed with both hands and feet tied, police said. Investigators appealed to trick-or-treaters ho knocked on the Bradburys' door to come forward, The Daily Telegraph reported. Neighbors said the normally quiet street in suburban Oatlands was busy all evening with children and adults celebrating Halloween. David Beard, the acting general manager at Westmead, described Lynette Bradbury as "always friendly and caring" to patients who came to the emergency ward where she worked.
