Arab Labor Ministers on Sunday named Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh deputy head of the Arab Labor Conference.
On the sidelines of the 41st session of the conference in the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, Al-Sabeeh told KUNA that she is happy with Arab ministers' confidence for that choice, indicating that this move stresses the importance of Kuwait's role in supporting common Arab action.
"The Kuwaiti delegation has a key role in the conference and also participated effectively Saturday night in issuing the fourth report on the rate of unemployment in the Arab countries," she added.
"The State of Kuwait seeks to reactivate the role of the fund, proposed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for supporting Arab small and medium-sized enterprises," she added.
"The fund is regarded an important factor to solving the problem of unemployment in the Arab countries," she confirmed.
Kuwait contributed USD 500 million to the USD two-billion fund.
