A Houston mother's sextuplets -- three boys and three girls born Monday -- were in stable condition, officials said. Lauren Perkins gave birth to the sextuplets -- weighing from 1 pound, 10 ounces to 2 pounds, 15 ounces -- at Texas Children's Hospital, The Houston Chronicle reported. Perkins gave birth to the babies 30 weeks and one day into the pregnancy. The family's Web site and a hospital statement said the babies were conceived through intra-uterine insemination with ovulatory stimulating drugs. The statement said Perkins and her husband, David, have declined interviews. In 2009, a couple from Humble, Texas, gave birth to sextuplets at The Women's Hospital of Texas. Only two of those sextuplets survived.
