Minister of State for Information Affairs and the Official Spokesperson of the Government Sameera Ebrahim bin Rajab has expressed pride in the outstanding achievement of the Bahraini women at all levels, especially the media, press and cultural ones.
She praised Bahraini women's continuous efforts to consolidate the comprehensive development march witnessed by the kingdom under the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She was speaking during the ceremony hosted by the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) in honour of its female employees, in the presence of IAA's Directors-General and directors marking the Bahraini Women's Day, observed nationwide on December 1 each year.
The Minister lauded the Bahraini women's continuous successes, and constant keenness to serve the nation and consolidate its status at regional and international gatherings, praising the great support accorded by the leadership to women in Bahrain out of its belief in the vital role they play, and landmark effective contributions in various fields throughout the kingdom's national march.
She affirmed that the hounouring of women in the media field is in recognition of the women's crucial role and creativity in all media establishments, including Bahrain TV, Radio, the Bahrain News Agency, and the press.
She pledged unwavering support for women staff in all media outlets, lauding their tireless efforts to upgrade the media in Bahrain.
The Minister honoured IAA female employees in appreciation of their efforts to enhance the media field.
The honourees expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of State for Information Affairs for honouring them on the Bahraini Women's Day, pledging continuous efforts to serve Bahraini media.
